Trustees and Volunteers

Our team is composed of passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in our community. Together, we bring diverse skills and experiences to the table, ensuring that our projects are impactful and sustainable.

What we do

Grove Farm Community Association owns and manages Grove Farm Community Centre a flexible, multi-use facility available for hire to community and commercial and charity groups at very competitive rates.

The Centre has a well equipped kitchen, and there are toilets including a disabled toilet. We don’t have dedicated facilities management, so we rely on hirers to set up the furniture they need (there are chairs and tables available to use) and to tidy away after themselves.

We have a scale of hire charges depending on whether the organisation arranging the hire is commercial, charitable or a community group, and whether the hire is a regular or one-off arrangement.  For more information, please email: -

Charity Trustees

Trustees have overall control of a charity and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. They may be known by other titles, such as:

  • directors

  • board members

  • governors

  • committee members

Whatever they are called, trustees are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run. Being a trustee means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives. Depending on what the charity does, you will be making a difference to your local community or to society as a whole.

Trustees use their skills and experience to support their charities, helping them achieve their aims. Trustees also often learn new skills during their time on the board.
